During my big holiday, I've REALLY missed korean food. I am kind of person who addicted to spicy food, so I'd needed to eat something spicy ASAP. So, To my mom's advice, I went Korean restaurant called Hongkiwa-Chukumi. Hong means red color and kiwa means korea traditional roof tile. So, this restaurant looks like this.
Btw, chukumi is webfoot octopus. There are so many kinds of recipe to cook webfoot octopus, but my hometown style is spicy.
So, Let's go in now.
The interior desigh is also Korean style. It's spacious but no outside seats. Korean tend to preper inside espacially when they eat something at restraunt. I don't know why exactly.
There is only one menu, called webfoot octopus set. So, Even if you don't know korean, don't be worried. You don't need to give your order to waiter. It's almost automatic system. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you just have to mark the number of people with your finger.
The set consists of rice, salad, acorns koean pancake, spicy webfoot octopus and cold-muk soup. Muk is made by acorns and it's like a jelly.
It's time to eat! Usually people eat spicy webfoot octopus with rice and salad because it's VERY hot, almost burning.
The price is 22,000won (11,000won per person), incuding tax and tips(Actually there is no tips in Korea). Usually a dollar is over a thousand won, So It won't be more than 22$.
This is a korean style water bottle decorated with label of korea alcoholic drink called So-ju. I really don't know why but most of korean watter bottles(especially using at restaurant) like this.
